In today's episode, Bonner talks about oneness with Jesus in His Resurrection. Our life began there. The old really is gone and the new really is here! This reality sounds good...but how does this look in our everyday lives? How can we start living as the new creation instead of as the old? Bonner shares a few stories from his own life that tackle three main dynamics of our new life:
1) What do we do when we mess up now?
2) What do we do when we find ourselves in a situation that used to be an issue for us?
3) How do we approach one another's shortcomings & flaws in light of what Jesus accomplished?
Be equipped to start identifying with the truth about yourself instead of the old you!
Verses referenced in today's episode:
Ephesians 2:1-10 || 2 Corinthians 5:16&17 || 2 Corinthians 5:21 || 1 John 1:7&9
Say this out loud, “Jesus, I thank You for becoming my sin and making me your righteousness. Thank You that I am a new creation and that the old is gone!”
Next time you are tempted or do something where you identify with the flesh - instead of retreating into yourself and doing it the old way, do something new…
Agree with what’s true about you. Read some scriptures that remind you of your new nature. 2 Corinthians 5:17, etc.
